Together an Active Future (TaAF) is an opportunity to make a difference for the people of Pennine Lancashire. TaAF want more people to be more active, improve mental wellbeing and help people live happier, healthier lives. Jamie will explain more in the short video below.
Physical activity means different things to different people. For some it is going to the gym or taking part in a sporting activity, for others it is walking, gardening or undertaking household tasks. Being physically active has many benefits including improving mental wellbeing. TaAF wants to help those people who aren’t active to go from nothing to something and something to more.
Over the next few years, TaAF will work with people across Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Ribble Valley and Rossendale to understand the barriers to engaging in physical activity and how we can work together to overcome them.
To find out how TaAF plans to do this, we invite you to read our Pathfinder submission.
